Cubs Head To The NLCS, San Fran Heads For The Golf Course

But before we get to that, our hero:

Anyway, what a game. Looked the whole way like we were going to piss this one away, and find ourselves in a game 5 – one that many of us wouldn’t be all too confident about. But despite a stellar performance by Matt Moore, and a lackluster performance from Lackey, the Cubs lineup persevered and came through with the clutch knocks late to take this one.

This 9th inning comeback was one for the books. Down 3 runs heading in, the Cubs got a couple big pick-ups from their young guns. Willson Contreras drove in Rizzo and Zobrist to tie it following Zobrist’s RBI double which scored Bryant. And then, with the game knotted up, Javier Baez played hero again, this time with a go-ahead RBI single up the middle.

And after a double play ball would send this one to the bottom half of the 9th, it was Aroldis Chapman time, and he shined.

Chapman threw nothing but fastballs, doing exactly what he came here to do.

What a win, WAVE THE W!!!
